Complete Streets Comment Submission Website
Description

The League of Illinois Bicyclists (LIB) has launched an interactive on-line survey that allows users to look up upcoming road and bike-ped projects in their area and then submit comments on how the existing road or trail currently serves people on foot and bicycle. The initial screen shows a clickable map of the entire state divided into districts, allowing users to zero in on their area, and then on individual projects. The survey asks respondents to rate the street for its walkability and bikeability, then asks about specific factors affecting the rating (such as missing sidewalks, high speed traffic, etc.). The League of Illinois Bicyclists forwards the completed surveys to the road designer in the responsible agency, as well as an appropriate elected official. March 2005.
