Chicago adopts "complete streets" policy
Chicago recently became the largest city in the United States to adopt a complete streets policy. As a result, new transportation projects must accommodate all users—balancing the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and vehicles.
The policy is part of a larger effort called Safe Streets for Chicago.
