New Yorkers living near shops, subways have lower BMI
Shining a spotlight on New York City, a new study published in the March/April issue of the American Journal of Health Promotion reports that city dwellers living in densely populated, pedestrian-friendly areas have significantly lower body mass index (BMI) levels compared to their urban peers.
