Hundreds apply for LEED-ND certification

A total of 238 developments, hailing from 39 states and six countries, have signed up to participate in the LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot program. This pioneering national certification system for sustainable neighborhood design and development blends green building, smart growth and new urbanism principles.

The new rating system launched by LEED for Neighborhood Development with partners U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Congress of New Urbanism will have a full public launch in 2008.

Visit the USGBC website for more details, or to download the list of pilot projects.
